UK CONNIE is a band of brothers with shared roots and connected by fate. Koby Hass and Alge got together for their first session after being introduced by a mutual friend and artist. Inspired by cult movies such as Weird Science and Frankenstein, the duo are an extension of the artwork by esteemed artist Connie Rose. A true out of body piece that you can feel while listening! Koby Hass and Alge discovered that they shared a lot more than a friend and a love of music—the two grew up just a town away from one another in the suburbs outside New York City. Their formative music experiences of sweaty punk shows in community centers and church basements in the Hudson Valley turned out to be shared experiences. For years, they had been occupying the same rooms week after week, in the same mosh pits learning the same lessons. Over the course of the pandemic, they forged a new bond on their shared foundation, writing and producing the songs that would become UK Connie’s first EP while the whole world ground to a stop around them.
